Getting Here

By car: Shanghai about 245 km, 3.5 h; Hangzhou 105 km, 1.5 h; Huzhou 105 km, 1.5 h; Suzhou 220 km, 3 h. The Shenwang Road is asphalt and follows the stream all the way to the door.

By train or coach

Take the high-speed train to Huzhou, then a coach from the station to Anji Bus Centre (about 1 hour, very frequent). A minute from the exit, taxis are waiting — about ¥100 and half an hour to the house; we can also arrange one for you.

There are frequent coaches from Shanghai (3–4 hours; Hongqiao West is fastest, about 3 hours) and Hangzhou (1–1.5 hours) to Anji Bus Centre. When buying a ticket, make sure it is the express coach, not a local bus.

A taxi from Hangzhou or Huzhou costs around ¥350; split between three or four people it is reasonable.

If you are coming from Shanghai, tell us two days ahead and we can arrange a coach that drops you at the gate — easier than changing at the station.
